Best Vacuum for Pet Hair REVIEW
Shark Rotator NV752
Short review
Shark is one of the sought after brands particularly pet hair vacuums. Bordeaux NV752 is no exception. It works like a traditional vacuum with exceptional amount of power enabling to suck in dust within your house.
The company designed this model with LED lights on the brush and small handle. This would be handy for you to clean on low lighting area such as under the bed and sink cabinets.
The dust bin can be easily removed allowing you to store the vacuum under your bed or couches in ease. Not only that, you can also detached the top handle to make it effortlessly take it to stairs. You can also remove the long wand from the brush base and attach some accessory to reach high places or little nooks and crannies without the hassle of bending down.
You are free to choose from three modes: low pile carpet, high pile carpet and hard floor that suit your needs. The head can be rotated in just a flick of your wrist. They also included a pet brush.
Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this as your pet hair vacuum if you are elderly or someone that prioritize mobility because this vacuum is very heavy. Also, you might find this too much to handle due to the strong power force. It was so strong that it can literally pull you. The vacuum tips over very easily when you use it without the dust bin.

Bissell 1954 Bolt Lithium Ion Pet
Short review
While this Bissel 1954 may looks like your regular upright or stick vacuum, don’t let it fool you. As a hand vacuum, the Bissel 1954 Bolt has a great solid built. This model comes with a wide selection of attachments that includes upholstery brush, a crack and crevice want and a handy dustpan that has detachable brush. The highlight of this pet hair vacuum is the two position stick vac that includes a powered roller.
The roller is designed specifically for the pet hair not to be caught up in it. However, we wouldn’t say that this works great like other vacuum. The sucking power works decent or fair, but unfortunately, not great.
This pet hair vacuum uses a lithium ion battery that allows you to have 20 to 25 minutes of suction. The weight of this hand vac is very well balanced and the attachments are nicely designed.
On the side note though, we wouldn’t recommend this for someone that wants a fully powered pet hair vacuum. This is suitable in place of your broom to clean up a small area or light cleaning. If you seek any more than that, we advised to take a look some other products.

Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away XL Capacity with Canister Caddy
Short review
This pet hair vacuum is designed for users’ versatility and comfort use. Like Shark NV572, the Shark Rotator Lift-Away NV755 has LED lights are placed on the vacuum head. The canister can be easily taken off allowing you to clean the tight spaces, under the beds and furniture, and also car.
The hose is heavy duty to endure that makes it easier for you to do house chores and move around. The cord is 30 inches long enabling you for better mobility use.
The attachments cannot be stored on the vacuum, however. You wouldn’t be able to bring it with you and have to keep in mind where you put it whenever you clean. This may pose a hassle for you.

Bissell 1650A Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum
Short review
The Bissell 1650 may be your next pet hair vacuum cleaning partner! We noticed that whenever we used it, the roller is clean with no hair at all. It has impressed us in just first usage.
It is very easy to clean. The canister is capable to release almost all of its contents. Even with a few hair balls stuck, the cleaning of it can be done with ease without taking out the filter to get it.
The crevice tool is beautifully designed to reach nooks and crannies. It is also rubberized so getting hairs isn’t an issue. The suction is good but not great. While the hose is very flexible, you might find it a little short so before you head out for a cleaning duty, make sure to extend the hose all the way. Also, this pet hair vacuum has no headlights.

Dyson Ball Animal 2 Upright Vacuum, Iron/Purple
Short review
If you are looking for a pet hair vacuum cleaner that doesn’t trigger your allergies then the Dyson Ball might be the one you’re looking for. The HEPA filtration of this particular vacuum is so good that it leaves your house feeling fresh and clean.
The ball steering also works as it claims for easy and quick maneuvers on different surfaces. It also has a very powerful suction that works well on the hard flooring. The noise from the vacuum when cleaning is also reasonable compared to the others.
But this model also has its own faults. The dust collector is pretty hard to come off and you might notice that some of the dirt gets stuck on the hinge. You might also find the wand difficult to put back in. While it is easy to pull out, putting it back requires more time and lining it up properly.

New Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Short review
If we are going to describe the Miele Canister Vacuum Cleaner in just a few words, it would be lightweight but powerful. It works quieter than your regular microwave and you can practically hear your phone vibrating on a coffee table not far to you. You will hear this pet hair vacuum quietly hums while it sucked in the sawdust and dirt that you wouldn’t know it was there.
While the Miele is like a living beast that came out of a cage that is ready to devour debris anytime, it is frighteningly light. You can easily haul it up the stairs and it has a sturdy built that you would know it will stay with you for years to come.
The adjustable suction is designed for your comfort use. It can be easily adjusted to vacuum from a heavy-duty door mat to curtains without pulling it off from the wall. The range of motion is fantastic also. It is capable to vacuum around the couch legs and under the bed without any hassles.
We would say that the Miele is everything you want from a pet hair vacuum but it comes with a high cost. You need to check first your wallet before heading to get this vacuum.

Shark Rocket TruePet Ultra-Light Upright Corded Vacuum, Bordeaux
Short review
A lightweight pet hair vacuum cleaner in just a reasonable price is what the Shark HV322 shouts for. It has a superior maneuverability that is perfectly capable to do fast and good cleaning job.
The suction power is great for the carpet and furniture. It is also can be easily packed inside a tight closet or anywhere even in small places making it one of the most compact vacuums in the list. The attachments that come with this are greatly appreciated because it can easily sucks in pet hair and even to get rid of sticky things.
The only trade off that we can see on the Shark HV322 is the inability to stand on its own. It tends to be this way because the motor is placed on top.

Electrolux EL4335A Corded Ultra Flex Canister Vacuum
Short review
Electrolux canister vacuum is very simple to use that allows you to just plug it in and let it do its trick. Adding stairs, nooks and crannies to the mix makes this pet hair vacuum cleaner earn its place in our list.
One of the plus sides is that the navigation is very easy to handle. The Electrolux doesn’t require you to have bags but you can put it in and empty it often as you want. The canister cleaning procedure is done quick and tidy. The model has a wide array of filters that are completely washable.
The short power cord length isn’t our cup of tea though. By measuring the power cord, extension wand and hose, the total length is just 33 feet. It was also note to mention that detaching the hose from the vacuum body isn’t a good idea. It is difficult to put it back again which it would be nice if it can to use for storing.
This unit is perfect for you if you don’t like pet hairs all over the place and have stairs to vacuum that suits your needs with a lightweight pet hair vacuum.

Bissel 1984 AirRam Cordless Vacuum
Short review
If you are looking something that is light and very easy to use, the Bissel AirRam might be the one to be your cleaning partner! First that you can notice on this pet hair vacuum is that it is cordless. It took 4 hours to be fully charged and it lasts for 40 minutes if used continuously.
The suction isn’t something that can be ignored. It is one of its stellar qualities that you should look out for that may one or few of small mats get stuck on it. Luckily, the company input an auto-shutoff in case this happens.
We also like that it has LED lights at the base of the unit. The roller brush can be removed very easily to be repaired and cleaned.
Overall, this pet hair vacuum is decent for its price but not that great. The built felt cheap because it is made from plastic. And from then on, you know that it is safe to bet that it will only last for at least couple of months in almost daily use. Also, the filter takes about 2 to 3 days to get dry which we think is too long.

Shark Rotator Professional Lift-Away Upright Vacuum, Red
Short review
Shark has proven its quality and great service to their customers over the years. This pet hair vacuum isn’t a misfit. As a customer, your top priority is how well a vacuum suck up dirt and pet hair do. We mouthed a simple wow when we get on to this wild tiger.
The suction works well and smooth even though the duct container is completely packed full. It just goes on like nothing happens and doesn’t lose any suction power. It is lightweight and the unit works quietly. It comes with a premium power brush that works amazingly well.
You also don’t have to worry about emptying this one. You can dump everything that you have collected straight to trash with no hassles. It has three filters in it that it can make your home breathe fresh and clean air.
However, it is also worth to mention a few setbacks. Due to the light built, it can be easily topple over. The lights on the base of the pet hair vacuum is dimmer than most of its competitors. The hose is stiff and hard to maneuver because it tends for the vacuum to topple over.

Dyson 206031-01
Short review
Dyson Big Ball earns its name for a reason. It has a built on the big side. It requires a bit of strength to maneuver so if you’re going to buy this for your grandma, don’t.
It works perfectly well on carpet and furniture thanks to its powerful suction. Though, we also find that it is a bit difficult to maneuver the rubber ball on hardwood floor. We also found that this pet hair vacuum tussles when picking up Cheerios and other small stuff.
We also noticed some squeaking sound that comes from the plastic guiding wheels. It works quietly and does the job as should be done.
To sum it all up, Dyson Big Ball is slightly bulky and has a terrific suction.

Electrolux EL3020A UltraPower Studio
Short review
For a cordless appliance, Electrolux EL3020A has a great suction. But when we used it, we noticed that the center of gravity is wrong. When you slight turn it left, it will turn left all the way and vice versa.
It works well under the bed and tables thanks to the LED light at the base of the unit. However, it doesn’t work as well on nooks and crannies because it doesn’t have an edge cleaning function.
All in all, we recommend this pet hair vacuum if you have bare floor. The swivel head will bother you if you mostly have carpet floors.

Dyson V6 Animal Cord-free Vacuum
Short review
Keeping your floor clean is what the Dyson V6 Animal Cordless do. It was just wow. The mobility and suction are top-notch.
This pet hair vacuum breathes power. It literally sucks in anywhere from bare floor, cars to rugs and carpet. Stairs, nooks and crannies also can’t hide from it. It is also light and easy to use because it is cordless. It can get under your sofa in such an ease so there’s no need of moving the furniture.
Cleaning can be done in a jiffy. The suction heads can be easily changed out.
For all that, the Dyson V6 Animal Cordless has a stumbling block. The battery lasts for about 20 minutes on average.

Shark Rocket Corded Hand Vac
Short review
Before you take a plunge to your new pet hair vacuum, take a look first to Shark HV292. The suction on this has excellent review and it didn’t lie. It sucks stuff up in a matter of seconds.
It doesn’t have a bag that replacement is a must so cleaning it comes after you use it. The Shark HV292 is designed to be compact and lightweight. The motor bristle head pivots are helpful to hold the vacuum at a right angle to get a good suction. It is made to aid you for your comfort use.
The cord is long and the multiple heads makes it to easily reach dusty, hard and tight places. It works perfectly on staircases and countertops that have a bit of breadcrumbs or alike.
Although, we think that this pet hair vacuum needs better hand attachments.

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Canister Vacuum
Short review
You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. That is especially true to Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. In its compact built, it has a powerful suction. It sucks in everything in its way.
Dyson claims that this pet hair vacuum oscillate up to 5,000 Hz. Thanks to this, it separates the microscopic dust that cause the clogs that occur on other vacuum.
It is also bagless. In just pressing the button, you can dump dirt and dust that you have accumulated. The turbine head made its job well by collecting fine particles then trapping them inside of the machine. The canister is very easy to manage that helps me to make a quick work on stairs and at the edges of the ceilings.
This pet hair vacuum has only one loss. The hose is not long enough to reach the ceiling. We recommend to buy hose extension firsthand if you decided to get this.
BISSELL PowerGlide Pet Vacuum 1305 with Pet TurboEraser Tool – Corded
Short review
The Bissell PowerGlide Pet Vacuum has a nice handle and very easy to lift and use. We liked that this pet hair vacuum can easily switch from bare floor to carpet.
The vacuum head is low and compact that it can easily slips under the table or any other furniture with ease. The filters are simply can be pop out to be cleaned.
But we can’t hide our disappointment about the pet attachment. It doesn’t work as it should be. It does spins when you hold it up to the air but it will not serve its purpose by doing it this way. Also, it would be nice if it has a longer cord.

iRobot Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum with Wi-Fi Connectivity + Manufacturer’s Warranty
Short review
Setting up the Roomba is simple and easy. Plug the unit in, then place the Roomba on it. You can press Clean whenever you want it to. You can also set it all up with their mobile app which we think it is worth doing it.
The iRobot uses a more advanced navigation system than its predecessor. It lays out location and mapping simultaneously. It can refer back to it as it goes along it way in your home. By having this latest improvement, your bot cleans with increased efficiency and less bumps.
While having a robot cleans for you until you get back from work sounds fancy, it isn’t all about sugar and spice. It is as loud as your regular upright vacuum. This may pose a problem for you especially when you live in a humble home with thin walls. You might annoy your neighbors and anyone—since bots do take their time to clean and get it done.
This pet hair vacuum is capable to go on in a single charge of 2 hours without carpet boost. We noticed that this bot works great at grabbing pet hair and light debris but ignored the fallen leaves. It just kicks it to one side to the other.
The Roomba is a great cleaning companion to maintain your flat cleanliness but we wouldn’t recommend it as your only pet hair vacuum.

Bissell 19404
Short review
Putting the Bissell the famous pet steam together is easy and done in a jiffy. The price is beyond reasonable and it’s very convenient to use since you don’t have to use cleaners again!
The steam heats up pretty quickly so watch out in how you use it. Due to the steam that this mop emits, it easily gets dry for about 2 to 3 times than your regular mop. For something hard to clean, let this guy sits on it and it will be sanitize for seconds.
It works great both on hard tile and hardwood floors. You can easily haul it all up because it has a light and sturdy built.
Whenever you use this, take precaution when you press your foot down to the scrubber. You might burn your foot!

3 Distinct Advantage of Getting a Pet Hair Vacuum
For many American homes, a four-legged friend is not an option to fiddle with; it’s a must. And the benefits are simply too many to count. First on the list of course is companionship. The furry friend can be with you all throughout the day – and never complain.
What’s more, they can provide security. How many times have dogs stopped would-be intruders or find a lost item. From the looks of it, it would really seem American families cannot live without their fave pets. And all those smiles should tell us they’re not wrong.
But all that companionship comes with a steep price: piles of hair. And it’s not human. This is especially true for families who keep more than one furry companion.
Over time, the accumulation of pet hair can overwhelm you. In time, you’ll have tumbleweeds rolling made up of dog hair. Worse, your sofa could be losing its original color as layers upon layers of cat fuzz has descended upon the poor seat. Before you get your house flooded with all sorts of animal hair, we’ll show you why getting a pet hair vacuum is timely.
1. Keep pests under rein.
Nobody has to tell you how much of nuisance pests are. Fleas and ticks not only affect your pet, they can turn on you too. And they’re nasty.
Do you know adult ticks can still survive up to 3 years without taking in a drop of blood? That shows how resilient these ectoparasites are.
Literally, ticks are bloodsucking vampires. With their mouth, they get themselves attached to your pet dog. Thanks to their glue-like substance, they keep themselves attached to the poor animal, feeding on its blood like a modern-day Count Dracula.
What’s worse, these tiny creatures could be a nuisance to you too. While diseases caused by these parasites cannot be transmitted to humans (e.g., Rocky Mountain fever, Lyme disease) from an affected dog, you can still get these diseases if your bitten by a tick.
Scary right? And that should be a cause of alarm for you.
Small wonder you’re fave pooch gets to be sleepy and inattentive at the most unlikely times during the day. If uncontrolled, it’s possible for ticks to cause its host anemia. And it doesn’t get better.
Certain female ticks can also cause paralysis to the dog. It’s a rare type but thanks to a toxin the parasite harbor, it could happen.
Compounding everything, you have fleas. These micro-creatures may not be able to live on humans but they can leave one nasty bite that should be enough for you to wish they get out of the way. Unless of course, you’re talking about Pulex irritans, a flea specie that not only feeds on human blood, it can live on you – as well as on your 4-legged friends.
This is where a pet hair vacuum will come in handy. It could be your best defense against the onslaught of pet pests.
And the best part is you need not spend a fortune to get one. You can avail of a dependable pet hair vac without losing your shirt. You just have to do your due diligence.
Once you have a good unit, you should make it a point to vacuum your lovely pet at least twice a day for best results. When you do regular vacuuming, these pests should be a thing of the past before you know it.
2. Keep fur to the utmost minimum.
Fortunately, for everyone and for your baby, animal fur (dog’s or cat’s) is to a large extent similar in structure to that of human hair. What that means is as both are keratin-based, there really is no cause for alarm when your precious little someone swallow animal hair.
The body may not be able to digest them but it will just throw it out of the system. Expect a hairy bathroom experience. But no worries, when you talk about bowel obstruction there would have to tons of hair swallowed before that happens.
Plus, hair that enters the mouth only goes to the stomach and never to the liver as many people believe. Or for that matter lungs. So there really is no proof to all that street talk.
But that shouldn’t mean you don’t have to take care of all the animal hair.
For one, these pets can produce allergens. Their urine and their saliva (which could attach to the hair) if uncontrolled can trigger what we call as asthma symptoms.
Worse, your child could be allergic to animal hair. Then all hell could break loose. Starting with runny nose, nasal congestion and difficulty in breathing.
To add injury to insult, such allergens can stay in your room for months in just about everywhere. Your clothing, furniture and every solid object therein.
Well, that should tell you getting the services of a nifty pet hair vacuum should be foremost in your mind.
When you constantly vacuum your pet, you minimize your children’s exposure to these toxins. Even better, you have an easy way to take care of fur hair that may be strewn neatly all over the furniture or your carpet. You need not lose sleep over it with a dependable unit working for you.
Which is better for pets? Canister vs Upright Vacuum
It’s a given. There will be a throng of people who would swear canister is superior to an upright; however, some people just can’t believe others would find canister as better. While both these models have their pro’s and con’s, looking intently on their strengths and weaknesses can help you assess which is the better fit for you.
Thus, in your search for a pet hair vacuum, considering each type should be worth the effort. At the end of the day, it’s the quality of performance that matters most. Below is a closer look on the benefits of each type.
1. Suction Power
You may not believe it but when you talk about which would be able to give you the more powerful sucking power, it’s not really clear. The answer would depend on the model and the particular brand.
Because as you go along you will notice that each model offer similar grades of sucking power. From the most powerful to the least.
So we can say that in this criteria, it could be draw. With no clear winner in sight.
Advantage: Draw
2. Maneuver Ability
This criterion is tricky. But anybody can tell you the canister would have greater flexibility in getting to the most hard-to-reach areas. So if you’re talking about the stairs, under the stairs or under our sofa, you know who wins hands down.
The problem is you will have to drag the canister as you move along. It’s nothing short of annoying. It’s like being tied to a piece of rock when you’re running in a marathon. You can cut the rock off you so you run with added burden.
If it were a handheld, we all would know which product is superior.
That’s why if you’re looking a large space – a living room for instance – the upright leaves the canister eating dust. You just flow through it. No sweat! No dragging of cumbersome canisters.
Then again, there’s the weight factor. Uprights are known to be super-heavy.
Advantage: Canister
3. Versatility
Over-all, the light suction of a canister allows it to clean a wider variety of surface areas. It doesn’t matter if hardwood or a tiled floor, you just point the vac and it leaves everything clean. It can get to the most inaccessible crevices thanks to its easy-to-sway head.
Then, you can use a canister to clean cupboards and even your fave pet. But not an upright.
Of course, uprights are keeping abreast of all the technological advancements. Thanks to ready attachments, it can somehow mimic some of the flexibility of a canister. Now, there are more surfaces that an upright can get into.
Still, it’s no contest. Canisters simply have so much more on the table.
Advantage: Canister
conclusion
You can keep a pet at home but without a per hair vacuum, you may as well put the poor fellow out on the street. True, pets are not as meticulous as people are. You can feed them just about anywhere and they’d eat – gobbling it up like there’s no tomorrow. But decent care would be next to impossible without the right tools in hand.
It’s not easy taking care of pets. Shedding for one makes it impossible for you to have a living room free from all the hair. That’s where a pet hair vacuum is spot on.
When you use one, you promote your pet’s health. Because that would mean goodbye to all those tick and fleas that by will attach themselves to your furry friend. The bad news is if you don’t take care of all that, you could be in danger too. These pesky pests can take a bite at you too.
What’s more, the right vac puts all that pet hair under control. So you won’t have a pile of fur on your sofa. Or underneath your bed.
It’s with all these in mind that we tip our hats to Bissell 1650A Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum. Why? Because it does the job best. And then some.
It acts not only as the best vacuum for pet hair, but also as a cleaning tool to put your house in order.
Best part’s most consumers agree.
And their experiences cannot be wrong. That way, you get to enjoy the best pet hair vacuum for your favorite.
